Qualifications & Experience:
- BComm required – MBA Preferred
- Fluent in English
- MS Office
- 10+ years’ experience in the financial services and payments business
- Deep project management and business development experience
- Strong problem solving, analytical and organizational experience
- Experience in POS and ATM roll out advantageous
- Demonstrated experience in managing multiple stakeholders in a multicultural environment across multiple geographic locations
- Excellent writing and presentation skills, extensive experience in communicating in international environment at senior management level
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills
- Organization and time management skills; ability to multi-task

Responsibilities:
- Acceptance Business Development
- Project managing ATM and POS roll out
- Project managing mobile acceptance

Major Accountabilities:
- This individual is to support existing Acceptance Leads across Middle East Africa in handling key projects and initiatives end to end, while still ensuring alignment between the individual markets 'go-to-market' approaches and the overall APMEA Acceptance strategy, taking into account the region's longer term strategic initiatives.
- Establish new partner / vendor/ enabler / joint venture integration with capabilities to sustain the institution competitive advantage and tracking performance against key objectives. This individual will have responsibility for establishing and maintaining strong business relationships with both acquirers merchants across the assigned territory.
- Fundamental to accelerating the development of the assigned territory’s business, is the backbone of strong acceptance in partnership with key Acquirers and merchants. The individual will be responsible for prioritizing initiatives based on revenue, time to market and ease of implementation, taking into account regional and global acceptance priorities.
- The resource will be required to support initiatives from inception all the way through fruition, effectively and efficiently leveraging cross functional support teams, available budgets, and in need be external vendors
- The successful candidate will be required to have a good understanding of MasterCard P&L and how to maximize revenue through an effective acceptance strategy.
- The individual has to be able to understand and embrace new forms of acceptance technology, including mobile acceptance, and how best to leverage this technology with key acquiring banks, and acquiring partners across the territory
Accountabilities:
- Analyze and implement business opportunities to increase share and revenue. Implement both short and long term strategies and tactics to increase profitability.
- Implement Acceptance Business Development solutions that improve revenue generation and enhance mutual profitability
- Leverage all MasterCard assets and product management resources to deliver exceptional merchant/acquirer value.
- In partnership with regional Acceptance Business Development resources, contribute to developing market specific business plans through the provision of appropriate market intelligence and to take responsibility for the implementation of those plans.
- Interpret and assess available MIS to identify opportunities for innovation
- Deliver extensive acceptance expertise and knowledge into the market place
- Actively contribute to the individual market Acceptance Development efforts
- Drive ATM and POS projects across territory
- Work with local switches and external vendors to grow acceptance
- Prioritise markets and initiatives and work streams taking into account financial viability and time to market on projects.
- Projects manage initiatives – from concept through to implementation.
- Manage mobile acceptance across territory
