SNRBUYER

POSITION: SENIOR BUYER - Market-related salary CAPE TOWN

Our Client, a significant leading South African & International Engineering and Construction Company listed on the JSE has a vacancy for a Senior Buyer at their Cape Town Office

 

Requirements:

-          Procurement / Purchasing Diploma

-          Minimum 8 years’ experience in buying / purchasing of material for the Construction Industry (Structural steelwork, Marine Works).

-          Computer literate on all Microsoft Office applications

-          Good negotiation skills

-          Report writing Skills

 

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

-          Evaluate request for purchase of Suppliers , Equipment and services to determine appropriate procurement method

-          Liaise with suppliers , sub-contractors and site / contract managers

-          Acquire best prices to place orders for materials required on site

-          Applying of company and client policies and specifications when ordering material

-          Respond in timely , professional and comprehensive manner to requests involving contract compliance , cost proposals and other administrative procurement issues

-          Preparing and authorizations of purchase orders

-          Expediting of deliveries on orders placed

-          Perform other duties as assigned

-          Generating of reports

Remuneration:

 

Negotiable / Market Related to experience
