Position: Ventilation and Occupation Hygiene Training Superintendent
Location: Witbank, Mpumalanga
Industry: Mining
Salary: R 30 000 to R 32 000 per month
Duration: 1 Year Contract (Renewable)
Job Purpose:
- The incumbent will be responsible for Ventilation and Occupation Hygiene training.
- The design, administration and lecturing of the Practical, Intermediate and Advanced Certificate in Mine Environmental Control and related courses.
- The target market is primarily VOHE personnel and production officials within the mining industry.
Requirements:
- Extensive experience in Ventilation and Occupational Hygiene within the mining industry having
been specifically employed previously as a VOHE superintendent (or equivalent).
- Must have experience in the coal mining industry and gold mining experience will be an added advantage.
- Experience in learning facilitation will be advantageous but training in this regard will be provided.
- Computer literacy is a definite requirement (MS Office).
- Previous experience with regards to Radiation and Medical Departments will be advantageous.
- Must be in possession of an Advanced Mine Environmental Control Certificate.
- Must be accurate and thorough with attention to detail.
- Analytical and Problem Solving Skills will be essential.
- Must have sound Verbal and Written Communication Skills.
- A valid Certificate of Medical Fitness or be fit enough to obtain one prior to the commencement of employment.
- Must be willing to travel.

To be appointed as Senior Site Engineer for a new Mining Project in Mpumalanga.
Responsibilities/Duties:
- Administration and management of mining projects
- Client liaison and relationship management
Requirements:
- BTech, BEng degree or NDip in Mechanical Engineering
- Must be holder of a GCC
- Minimum 5 (five) years experience within a mining environment
- Must be familiar with MHSA and DME legal requirements
- Must be self motivated, precise and technically proficient
